Area School Districts Unite to Address Pension Reform Concerns
MCMS/MCHS Back to School Supplies Distribution

The McLean County Youth Service Center, through collaboration with local businesses and churches, will be sponsoring a Back to School Supplies distribution event.  Free basic school supplies will be distributed on Friday, July 21st, at the McLean County High School from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  This will not be a complete offering of everything your student may need to start their year but will supplement the supplies that are needed.  Supplies will be available for both Middle and High School students.  


The Kentucky Commissioner of Education is seeking applications to be considered for appointment to the McLean County Board of Education. You are invited to nominate yourself or someone you know who is qualified to serve on the MCPS Board of Education representing Educational Division #1.  

Applications should be completed and mailed by May16, 2017.

McLean County Athletic Hall of Fame

The McLean County Athletic Hall of Fame is organized to serve all of McLean County and to recognize individuals players, teams, coaches, and honorary members that have made investments to the county and made all of McLean County athletic programs what they are today.  The McLean County Athletic Hall of Fame is seeking nominees for the inaugural class of inductees, to be inducted September 9th, 2017 at McLean County High School.  Please complete the nomination form and return to  McLean County High School, Attn: Marc Searcy – Athletic Director, 1859 Hwy. 136 East, Calhoun, KY 42327.  You can acquire a nomination form at any McLean County Public School or by visiting

University of Kentucky Dental Clinic

The UK College of Dentistry is coming to your child's school this year.  The services are provided at no cost to the family.  Services provided to your child may be billed to dental insurance companies such as Medicaid, KCHIP, and Kentucky's Managed Care Organizations.  If you have private dental insurance, please use a local dentist who accepts your dental plan.
